The Contemporary™ Series
The Contemporary series offers discerning musicians exceptional instruments at an approachable price point.
Contemporary series guitars reflect the same dedication to excellence as all Maguire instruments. However, the use of sustainably-harvested tonewoods and simplified/ standardized production tech-niques bring these premium instruments within the reach of working musicians. Single and double cut bodies are available in solid, chambered, and semi-hollow body options. While customization is welcome, standard features include quality tonewoods, flat tops, long-tenon set necks, Tone-Pros bridges, Lindy Fralin pickups and shielded body cavities. Base price $2700

The Certified 7™ Series
The Certified 7 series was created for guitarists longing for the tone and feel of the venerable solid-body guitars of the 50’s and 60’s.
The essence of these instruments lies in a steadfast loyalty to traditional materials, construction and cosmetics. Nitrocellulose lacquer, quarter-sawn set-necks, hot hide glue, 22 fret fingerboards and classic tonewoods that have air-dried for 20 – 60 years all merge into solid-body guitars that literally could have been crafted decades ago.
Most importantly, the use of old-stock east Indian rosewood, korina, eastern maple, Spanish cedar and pre-CITES Brazilian rosewood and Honduran mahogany, allows me to personally certify that every Maguire Certified 7 will be between six and eight pounds of solid-body nostalgia. Base price $3700

The Meridian™ Series
»»Boutique Guitar Resource: Meridian Series Review
The Meridian series is my flagship line of presentation grade instruments.
All Meridian series instruments feature an innovative “thru-tenon neck” in which a full thickness top is set onto a body-length neck tenon. Also, the neck contour extends to the end of the fret-board and the heel and cutaways merge into the neck contour. Although time-consuming, this hand-carved neck joint "frees" the neck from the body to, thereby, maximize sustain and touch sensitivity.
Since every Meridian instrument is meant to be as unique as the individual commissioning it, each guitar begins with a consultation that enables the client to choose between solid/chambered/semi-hollow bodies, single or double cut body shapes, carved or flat tops, various neck profiles, electronics, inlays, bindings, etc.
Clients may also select their favorite woods from my inventory of redwood, maple, Brazilian and Indian rosewood, korina, Honduran and African mahogany, Spanish cedar, ebony, koa, claro walnut, Tasmanian blackwood and myrtle, etc. While I can accommodate virtually any cosmetic request, the inherent coloration of these premium woods often negates the need for plastics, paints and/or stains. Base price $4300
